Accessibility statement
What we do to make the site usable by everyone, how we check it, what does not yet work, and how you can report it to us.
Conformance
Meccaniche Creative aims for WCAG 2.2 level AA (the World Wide Web Consortium recommendation that accessibility is built on). As of this statement the site is partially conformant: some criteria are already verified, others have known, declared limitations, stated here honestly rather than hidden.
We do not claim full conformance: a site keeps evolving, and this statement says where it stands today and how that is kept.
How we check it
It is a self-assessment: we check it ourselves, with our own tools and team, not an external body.
On every page, in every language, automated checks run on each change: axe-core rules at two screen widths, text contrast, focus visibility, interactive target size, reflow at 320 px, reduced motion, the ability to pause animations, and a consent banner operable from the keyboard.
On top of these checks we add a manual review of new or changed pages before publication.
Known limitations
The site passes the automated checks with a limited, capped number of exceptions, each documented and scoped to a specific case. In plain words:
- At narrow widths (down to 320 px) some tables reflow into stacked cards instead of staying tabular: that is a readability choice, not a defect.
- Small decorative elements (icons, dots, separators) have no minimum interactive size, because they are not interactive: they are marked as decorative and carry no information.
- Some continuous animations do not stop on their own: they are turned on and off by the user, with the «reduce motion» tool in the accessibility panel.
A limit we do not hide
The accessibility panel
Every page has an accessibility panel. Without JavaScript it stays readable, but the settings do not apply. It offers: text size, line height, letter and word spacing, font choice, alignment, colour saturation, pointer size, a reading guide, a «reduce motion» profile and ready-made profiles (low vision, colour vision deficiency, dyslexia, calm).
Your choices stay in this browser: they do not leave your device.
