Case study · Leonardo Pedestal

From an innovative idea to the first installations around the world.

Leonardo Pedestal had a product able to change the way ports and marinas provide energy and services to boats. Meccaniche Creative built the brand, image and commercial system needed to take it to market: identity, website, AI content, CRM and business development worldwide.

The client

Not a supply point, a service platform

Leonardo Pedestal is a new-generation pedestal designed for marinas, harbours and berths dedicated to yachts and superyachts. Made in Italy from 316L stainless steel, with finishes designed to fit in with prestigious pontoons and boats.

The modular electrical panel allows configuration and power to be changed without replacing the whole pedestal, and every model can be customised to the marina's technical and aesthetic requirements.

A platform able to turn port services into a more modern, efficient and sustainable experience.

The challenge

Launching a product that didn't yet have a category

Marina directors, designers, architects, general contractors, port authorities, distributors and investors look at the same product from different angles: reliability, design, service management, electric boating, new revenue possibilities for the port.

01

Create a recognisable brand and build a premium image

02

Explain a feature-rich product simply

03

Show Leonardo in real contexts before the installations

04

Reach harbours and marinas worldwide

05

Identify local partners and distributors

The strategy

Five stages of the same journey

From brand to AI content, from international positioning to marina mapping, through to the CRM that turned contacts into the first installations.

Phase 1 · Brand and website

Giving shape and character to a new marine brand

A pedestal destined for yachts, superyachts and prestigious harbours can't just work well: it has to fit harmoniously into the space and contribute to the marina's perceived quality. We developed a visual language expressing Italian design, innovation and solidity — colours, typefaces, images and icons evoking sea, energy and elegance.

The website is dynamic, immersive and full of movement: it guides discovery of the product alternating images, animations, technical details and commercial benefits. Navigation doesn't start from a list of components but from the vision: preparing marinas for the electric transition without replacing the existing infrastructure every time.

The goal was to turn a complex solution into something you could understand in a few minutes and want in a few seconds.

Phase 2 · AI content

Bringing the product to life through artificial intelligence

In the early stage Leonardo didn't yet have enough installations to photograph in different contexts. We used artificial intelligence to create photographic and video settings: the product was placed in marinas, contemporary pontoons, Mediterranean moorings and berths dedicated to superyachts.

With video, animation and AI content we showed the replacement of the modular electrical box, the charging of electric boats, the distribution of power and water, the air conditioning, the interactive display, utility management and integration with pontoons and yachts.

The images weren't only there to make the website prettier: they let customers, partners and designers imagine the product in their own spaces, even before the installations.

Phase 3 · Positioning

Positioning Leonardo in the international marine market

Leonardo's market has no national borders: wherever there are marinas, yachts and investment in electric boating there can be an opportunity. We built an international strategy starting from searches on multi-service pedestals, marina power pedestals, charging systems for electric boats and smart port infrastructure.

The content was organised to speak to different audiences: marina directors, port operators, design studios, waterfront architects, pontoon manufacturers, shipyards, distributors, investors and electric boating operators.

Website and sales material became tools usable in Italy and abroad, able to tell the product's story without needing a long technical explanation every time.

Phase 4 · Mapping

Mapping the world, marina by marina

With Meccaniche Creative's technology we built an international mapping of ports, marinas, operators and potential partners: Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Middle East, United States, Caribbean, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

For every facility we gathered information on marina size, berths, type of boats hosted, existing services and expansion or redevelopment projects. Then we identified the decision makers: marina managers, technical directors, purchasing managers, designers, developers and distributors.

That way the world was no longer a market too big to tackle: it had become an ordered map of opportunities.

Phase 5 · CRM and AI

CRM and AI automation to build international relationships

All the data collected was organised in a CRM built around Leonardo's sales process: companies, people, countries, conversations, technical requests, partnerships and installation opportunities.

The automations classify contacts by geographic area, distinguish customers, designers and distributors, prioritise the most interesting marinas, schedule follow-ups, monitor replies and appointments and organise the sending of materials.

The AI personalises messages by profile: a marina director receives a communication about services and return on investment, a designer information on modularity and integration, a distributor an assessment of the commercial potential in their market.

From digital presentation to the first installations

The most significant part of the project isn't captured in a percentage. The new brand gave credibility. The website and AI content made the potential understandable. The campaigns created visibility. CRM and automation turned contacts into commercial conversations.

Leonardo was no longer only an innovative project told through images and videos: it had become a product chosen, installed and used. From that moment every installation is a new reference, new content and new concrete proof.

We built the harbour. Leonardo began the journey.

Behind these numbers there is a precise transformation: Leonardo Pedestal went from being a product to introduce to the market to a brand able to talk to ports and partners all over the world. The identity can adapt to new products, the AI content can accompany entry into new markets, the CRM can grow with the sales network.

The value of the partnership

From the idea to the first installations, and beyond

With Leonardo Pedestal we didn't simply build a website. We built the image of a new product, made it understandable through content and artificial intelligence and created the tools to bring it in front of the right people.

Leonardo brought technology, Italian design and an innovative vision of port services. Meccaniche Creative turned that vision into a brand, an international presence and a structured sales process.

Every conversation enriches the data. Every installation increases the authority. Every partner can open access to an entire geographic area.
